Registration Packages

REGISTRATION BEGINS MAY 1, 2014. To begin the registration process, choose a package below and then click the registration button on the right.  You’ll be taken to EventBrite.com to complete your registration.  Registration deadline September 15, 2014.  No refunds after June 25, 2014.

You have a choice of several different lodging & meals options.  Each package includes your general registration ticket.

    • Package 1: $399/person
      Includes General Registration + 4 Workshops + Double Occupancy Abbott Hall (2 single beds with private bath)
      + 8 meals onsite.  You will have a chance to request a roommate or we will assign you one.
    • Package 2: $469/person
      Includes General Registration  + 4 Workshops + Double Occupancy Asheville Hall / Blue Ridge Center
      (1 single bed & 1 double bed or 2 double beds with private bath) + 8 meals onsite.
      You will have a chance to request a roommate or we will assign you one.
    • Package 3:  $579/person
      Includes General Registration + 4 Workshops + Single Occupancy Asheville Hall / Blue Ridge Center
      (2 single beds with private bath) + 8 meals onsite.

    • Package 4: $349/person
      This commuter package includes General Registration , 5 Meals (no lodging onsite or breakfast) and all workshops.
    • Wednesday Night Optional Add-On (for early arrivals and Thursday Intensive participants):
      Add on $85 Blue Ridge Asheville Hall, $60 for Abbott Hall to your other meals/lodging package. You will be prompted during the registration process to select this option if you desire to come in on Wednesday.


Gathering of Artisans will be held at the beautiful, historic YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly, located in Black Mountain, North Carolina.  With spectacular autumn views and cool mountain breezes, this facility is a retreat in itself! Hotel-style lodging is available with all lodging packages. Each room includes comfortable beds and private bathrooms with showers (see packages below).

Plentiful and delicious meals will be served 3 times daily (breakfast, lunch and dinner) buffet-style in Blue Ridge Center dining rooms conveniently located near meeting rooms and accommodations at the heart of the 1200 acre campus.  Everything from international to southern-style cuisine is offered.  Vending machines available around campus for snacks and soft drinks.

    • Miersa, I live in Bloomington, IL. I am seriously considering going. If so, I wouldn’t mind in sharing expenses. There are several other artists in our area down here. Perhaps I could get one or two more to join. The more riders, the less the expense….

  4. Haven’t decided for sure if I want to do one of the intensives on Thursday. Can I go ahead and register for GOA and then register later for the Thursday class if i decide later i want to do it? I’m considering the pottery class just not sure about traveling home on airplane with finished pieces?

    I will be going, if I can find a way to carpool. I live in Grand Rapids MI and can somewhat easily get myself to Chicago (take the train) if someone could pick me up from the station. I will help pay for gas. let me know!

  8. Is there a place online to print your registration and classes? It’s been a few months, and I’ve changed computers. I can’t find my hard copy. Also need supply lists….

    • there’s an online PDF on the workshops by timeframe page – once you register, you’ll get an email with your registration info. You can always go back to eventbrite.com and reprint that out as well.

  12. I have registered for GOA but needed to sign up for the raku clay intensive on Thursday. I don’t see any way to register for it separately but I do want to register for that class. I know there is an additional cost and will pay when I get there or I can mail it in if needed.
