9 Days Left to Register for Gathering of Artisans!

There are only 9 days left to register for Gathering of Artisans this year!  Gathering of Artisans 2011 is a national Christian artist retreat September 29 – October 2, 2011 with hands-on workshops by master artists in Fine Art, Fine Craft, Prophetic Art, Performing Arts, Media and Artist Development. More than just a weekend school of worship, Gathering of Artisans is jam-packed with hands-on workshops, opportunities to collaborate with artists from around the country, dynamic worship experiences and anointed teaching from master artists.

Our heart for Gathering of Artisans has always been to make it as ‘non-conferency’ as possible. What does that mean?  It means:

  • Actually being creative, not just sitting around listening to people talk about it
  • Hands-on workshops that let you learn from the best of the best
  • Free-time and optional activities that let you choose how you want to spend your day
  • One-on-one and small group interaction with master artists and Christian leaders
  • Shared meals that foster opportunities to get to know other artists
  • Opportunities for personal prayer ministry from our ministry teams
  • Dynamic worship experiences where your creative expression is encouraged
  • Sharing real tools you can take home and use to keep the creativity going

How To Register For The Weekend

You can register for Gathering of Artisans in 2 easy payments by purchasing a “General Registration” ticket and then purchasing a “Meals and Lodging” ticket at a later date.  Both tickets (General Registration and Meals & Lodging Tickets) are required for admission to the event.   See details below.

Whether your creative passion finds it’s outlet inside or outside the walls of the church, there’s a place for you.  This year, you’ll be able to participate in 4 different hands-on workshops led by master artists.  Visit our workshops page for a detailed schedule and description of the over 50 workshops offered this year.

Check out the entire website and then share with your friends via Facebook, Twitter or whatever other social networking outlets you use.   It’s very common for artists to come together as a group from your church or local area and we encourage that in order to help you foster creative community when you get home!

We look forward to seeing you in September!

Are You Making Plans?

Gathering of Artisans 2011 is just around the corner.  Most of our registrations last year came in during the month of August, which means you’re probably considering coming to GOA right now!  Let me encourage you with some quotes from some of last year’s participants:

  • “The love and fellowship was awesome to me, everybody was sooo friendly and kind”
  • “I came feeling very intimidated and left feeling empowered and full, right where I am at in my journey of expression. I realized that what I do is truly unique and it is ok that I don’t have be like everyone else. This retreat gave me the confidence to really “go for” what God has told me!”
  • “Meeting new people, networking, and seeing/experiencing the vast range of creativity. Also loved hearing people’s stories that involved something they created.”
  • “I was so happy to have confirmation in meeting so many people that have the same heart as I do for the arts and church, and communities around us. It was great to have time to interact with others by having the breakout sessions, and time to eat and talk with people. I LOVED having the art gallery available… it was great to see everyone’s work and get to network with people. The worship sessions were incredible!”
  • “Even though I’ve done lots of creative projects, for the first time I felt like I was connected to the creativity – the art – inside me. We loved the fellowship and the sense of family we felt there.”
  • “To experience the culture of honor that was present to greet you upon arrival was AWESOME! There was such an expectancy and a oneness in the camp. I loved it from beginning to end!”

So what about you?  Are you making your plans to attend Gathering of Artisans 2011?  We hope to see you there!!
